About your Team  

Our CEO Office reports directly to Vasco Portugal, the CEO of Sensei. This team is responsible for: 

  • supporting the CEO and senior leadership team through high-impact strategic initiatives; 
  • promoting alignment and accountability across the organization;
  • act as a motivating change agent to implement new processes.

It is a hands-on, cross-functional team that collaborates closely with senior stakeholders within the company.

How Can You Help?

As an Associate to the CEO at Sensei, you will contribute to spearheading projects 

that have significant cross-functional or financial impacts on our core business units. You will work closely with senior management to take Sensei to the next level! 

You are comfortable navigating complex, uncertain challenges and can break them down into smaller, clear, and easily understood initiatives. You can successfully manage multiple diverse projects while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. You have an entrepreneurial mindset, approach challenges as opportunities, and are enthusiastic about collaborating with team members to ensure alignment. You are excited about the idea of revolutionizing the shopping experience!

Daily at Sensei, you will:

  • Collaborate with teams to ensure the achievement of defined key results and measurable progress across the company 
  • Work closely with the CFO to build a framework to guarantee meticulous tracking of expenses 
  • Act as a project manager by assisting senior management in defining the annual budget
  • Collaborate with growth and product teams to explore monetization opportunities, expansion, revenue streamlining strategies, and map out opportunities for organic and inorganic growth.
  • Develop presentations for quarterly board meetings to ensure alignment with current investors. 
  • Ensure monthly updates are provided to current investors 
  • Act as a “right arm” to our CEO to help manage communication and information flows within the organization.

You will bring to the table:

  • 5-7 years of work experience in management consulting or investment banking. Experience as an entrepreneur is a plus!
  • Entrepreneurial attitude that is comfortable looking at a problem from different angles
  • Highly skilled at managing several tasks at the same time and adept at  prioritizing tasks effectively
  • Exhibit solid analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to independently develop complex analyses and models using Excel or Google Sheets
  • Ability to mobilize teams and feel comfortable in building relationships across the organization
  • Skilled in resolving conflicts and fostering collaboration through exceptional interpersonal and empathy abilities
  • Strong storytelling skills, you thrive in creating presentations that are thorough yet concise
  • High business acumen, your business insights drive you to question conventional wisdom and embrace innovation 

After six months, success means:   

  • You have played a pivotal role in assisting senior management in successfully rolling out a new OKR methodology, ensuring universal adoption across all departments
  • You own, monitor, and track the KPI dashboard to oversee the company´s progress. You can promptly identify and address any metrics that are falling behind schedule.
  • Built a dashboard with the CFO to track company-wide expenses 
  • You have assisted the growth team in defining their foundations by developing a pricing strategy and expansion playbook
  • You have a comprehensive grasp of our primary obstacles to growth and have devised strategies to expedite our expansion over the next year. Particularly in terms of reseller strategies, licensing, commercial ventures, and other partnerships
  • You have conducted thorough research and identified financing opportunities for the next year, including European funds, acceleration programs, and public financing programs. Additionally, you have developed a well-defined strategy for leveraging these opportunities
  • You are a trusted member and have established strong relationships with key organizational stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and cooperation
