Sensei, Pharma&Go and Glintt Life launch Europe’s first autonomous healthcare store

In Lisbon’s Parque das Nações, a new kind of healthcare shopping has just arrived. Sensei, Pharma&Go and Glintt Life have opened Europe’s first fully autonomous healthcare store, giving people 24/7, checkout-free access to everyday healthcare products in one of the city’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.

The 90 m² Pharma&Go healthcare store offers a wide range of non-prescription medicine, beauty and wellbeing products – from vitamins and supplements to skin care, baby care and personal hygiene. Designed as a convenient, neighbourhood store, it supports busy urban life by staying open all day, every day, so customers can pick up essentials early in the morning, late at night or between commitments.

Powered by Sensei’s AI and computer-vision platform, the store delivers a simple, intuitive experience that feels familiar from the first visit. Customers tap their bank card at the entrance to open the gate, pick up the products they want just like in a regular store, and then simply walk out when they’re done. The technology automatically creates a virtual basket in the background and charges the same card used at entry – no queues, no self-checkout screens and no product scanning.

Behind the scenes, a network of sensors and intelligent software tracks product movements in real time, ensuring baskets are accurate and stock levels are always up to date. This allows Pharma&Go to understand demand patterns, keep shelves replenished and continuously improve the in-store experience, all while maintaining a fully autonomous operation.

The project is the result of a close collaboration between Pharma&Go, Glintt Life – Glintt Global’s innovation brand for healthcare – and Sensei. It brings together deep healthcare and pharmacy expertise, a strong focus on regulation and privacy, and Sensei’s proven autonomous store technology already deployed in supermarkets and convenience formats across Europe and beyond. The store has been carefully designed to respect the sensitivity of healthcare purchases, using anonymous tracking and operating in full alignment with European data-protection rules.
